A little taste of some of the spectacular views

Rame Head and Penlee Point

The grotto at Penlee Point, a small building built into the rocks on one side with the sea in the background on the other side. THe building has an open doorway and you can see through to the sea on the other side, the sky is blue with a few white clouds

Tavy Cleave

This is a photo of a small waterfall at the top of the swimming pool at Tavy Cleave, there are rocks surrounding it and rocky grassy banks leading up the vallet from it. The sky is blue with some white clouds, the sun is glistening off the water

This photos is from the valley floor looking up to tree tors above, the rocky tors are stricking against the blue sky and in the forground you can see tufts of grass and rushes

There is a leat, manmade watercourse in the foreground with the blue sky reflected off the water. It has grassy banks on either side with a faint path on the right hand side. Crazywell Pool and surroundings

Grimspound and surroundings

There is a granite tor on the righthand side of the photo with the hill sloping away to the left, in the foreground is open grassy moorland, in the bacground is more moorland and blue skys above low grey clouds

This is a photo of the remains of a roundhouse located within the Grimspound Settlement, you can see the entrance stones and the round outline of the house behind. In the background the hill rises to Hookney tor with several paths viable, the sky is blue with some clouds

This is a photo of the entrace to the Grimspond enclosure on dartmoor. There are rough rock gateposts with a gap between, in the foreground there are rocks covered in grass on the floor. In the background is Hookney Tor on the right and more open moorland on the left. You can see white clouds in the blue sky.

This is a photo of two highland cows, the first one is laying down on the grass on the right hand side of the photo. It is s brown cow with large horns and long hair over it's eyes. The other is half hidden by some rushes, there are tress in the background.

Sharrah pool and River Dart

This photo is looking down through the tress to the river below, the trees are green and at the top of the photo you can see open morland, the sky is grey.

This photo is taken from the side of the river looking at a section of river with some rocks and so there is white water showing round the rocks. Further up the river is still and surrounded by trees with the sun shining off the water. The trees are becoming bear with only a few leafs.

This photo of Sharrah Pool shows the deep water of the pool with some white patches on top, it is surrounded by tress and rocks and you can just see some blue sky and white clouds in the upper lefthand side of the photo

This photo of New Bridge, the starting point for this walk, is taken from below the bridge and slightly upstream. There is a rocky platform on the left and you can see through the arch of this stone bridge, one pillar is visable in the river and you can see the white water of a rapid just above the bridge. Through the arch is a view of the still waters beyond and green tress on teh river bank

Butchers Cove, South Hams Coast and The Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman

This photo of the south devon coast looks along the coastline which runs along the righthand side of the photo, there is some large slabs of rock in the foreground and a headland sticking out before more coast is viable in the distance. The sea is blue and the sky has white clouds and blue sky.

This photo is taken from inside the Church of St Peter the Poor Fisherman, it is looking out into the main body of the roofless stone church with a window visable and a roofed tower in the background. The floor is uneven stone slabs and the pillars of the arches are visable. There are trees behind the church.

Dartmoor Tors

This photo is of a Dartmoor Tor, a natural pile of Granite rocks situated on open grassy land, the cloudy sky in the background.

Merrivale

This is a photo of a stone row, in the foreground is part of a large stone and then there are two parelle rows of irregular stones leading away down the centre of the photo. The ground is green grass and in the ditsance on the horizon you can see some low hills and the clouds in the sky
